About
My research is principally focused on Judaism and philosophy, although I am interested in all areas of religion as well as linguistics. In the field of philosophy my areas are metaphysics, language and epistemology; especially the point at which these three meet.
I completed an MA in Religious Studies at Lancaster. My dissertation, The Epistemological Role of the Archangel Metatron, was awarded the Ninian Smart Prize 2009.
I am in the first year of a PhD at Nottingham University, where I examine rabbinic and Kabbalistic traditions on the nature of language (especially its creative function) in the light of 20th Century philosophy of language and recent developments in the Speculative Realism/Object-Oriented Philosophy movement.
Other interests include the African Hebrew Israelites (who I stayed with last winter), Middle East politics, underground music, alternative lifestyles, animal rights and autism.
